Tip #10 - Photos and Video
In This Tip:   Take Better Pictures    Share Your Pictures    Amazon.com Review

Welcome to our iPhone 4 tips and tricks!  Much of this content is pulled directly from our iPhone 4 Made Simple book which you can buy online at amazon.com and many fine bookstores around the world.

With the new 5 megapixel camera which you can use for both still photos and take High Definition HD videos, your iPhone is packed with great imaging capabilities.  In this message we show how to take better pictures with your iPhone camera and how to share your pictures.  In our book, we show you how to really polish your videos right on your iPhone using the iMovie app ($4.99 in the App Store).

Best regards,

Adjust the Focus Area, Brightness and Zooming

You may not be aware that you can tap the screen to focus the camera and adjust the light balance to better show the tapped area.  Also, when you tap the screen, you see the zoom slider appear along the bottom.

1. Tap the Camera icon.
2. Tap the screen anywhere to focus the camera and adjust the light balance for that area.  (See figure).
3. Tapping inside the house adjusts the light balance and focus for the inside.
4. Tapping through the window to the outside, adjusts the focus and light balance to better take an outdoor picture.
5. Slide the zoom slider bar to adjust the zoom level.

TIP: This same 'touch to focus' works when you are taking videos as well!
