Open Compressed
(.zip) Email Attachments on your iPad

Your iPad cannot open
compressed or zipped attachments out-of-the-box. However, if you
install a free app called GoodReader, you can open email attachments
that are zipped up in .zip format right on your iPad.
- First, go to the
App Store and download the free GoodReader.
- Next time you
receive an email attachment that is zipped, touch and hold it, and
select "Open with GoodReader."
- Inside GoodReader,
tap the .zip file in the files list and select Unzip.
- Now the unzipped
file will appear next to the original one in the list. Tap the
unzipped file to open it!
