Nothing happens after I insert the DVD into my Windows computer's DVD drive?
A:
Your 'AutoPlay' may be set to off. This would cause nothing to
happen when you insert the DVD.
Here is how to have AutoPlay work (or at minimum, ask you what to do each time):
- Open up AutoPlay options in your Control
Panel. (Start menu > Control Panel > (Classic View) > AutoPlay)

- Scroll down to the "Software and games"
section and set to anyone of these options "Ask me every time," "Open
folder to view files using Windows Explorer," or "Install
or run a program." (You must not
set it at "Take no action" -- this will cause the DVD to do nothing.)

- Click the "Save" button to save your
settings and exit out of Control Panel.
- Eject the DVD and re-insert it.
If you selected "Ask me every time" then you will see a window pop-up -
select "Run shellexe.exe"

If you selected "View files in Windows Explorer" then double click on the
'start_training_center.html' or 'start_training_center' file you see on the
DVD. (See below)

1.2 - After inserting the DVD, I see some
folders and files, what do I click?
A:
Double-click on the 'start_training_center.html' or 'start_training_center' file
you see on the DVD.

I just see a bunch of text (unrecognizable code / html code) after inserting the DVD drive.

It seems as if you may have your Notepad or Wordpad associated to open your
'.html' web files. You will need to re-associate the .html files with your
web browser. Here is how to get that done:
- You need to view the files located on the
DVD. Click your Start menu > Right-Click on "Computer" > Select
"Explore"
- Right-click on your DVD
drive (D:, E:, etc.) and select “Explore” to open and view the files on the
DVD.
- Right-Click on the “start_training_center” or “start_training_center.html” file and select “Open
With > Choose default program…”
- In the "Open With" window, select your
browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.) and make sure the
checkbox at the bottom is selected “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file” and click “OK”
- Now, double-click on the same file "start_training_center”
or “start_training_center.html” - the Training Center should now open
correctly in your favorite web browser on your computer.

2.3 - When I click PLAY or a link to a video inside Videos Now on my computer, no window pops-up, nothing happens.

Our DVD requires that you enable 'Active Content' from your computer's DVD/CD
drive and if you use Internet Explorer, you set Protected Mode to "Off."
In some cases these settings need to be adjusted on your web browser. Here's how to
change the settings: (so you don't need to 'allow it' every time
you use the DVD in Internet Explorer):
- In order to Turn Off Protected Mode, follow these steps:
Check the bottom of your Internet Explorer window. If you see that
"Protected Mode is already set to "Off" as shown, then skip to
"Allowing ACTIVE CONTENT" below.
Otherwise, double click where shown to bring up your "Internet Security
Properties" window.

- In the "Internet Security Properties" window, click on the "Internet"
zone at the top, then make sure to clear or uncheck the box next to "Enable
Protected Mode (requires restarting Internet Explorer).

- Now, repeat the procedure for "Local Intranet" zone. Click on
"Local intranet" in the zones at the top and make sure the same checkbox is
unchecked.

- Once all these check boxes are unchecked, click "Apply" then "OK."
Now close all Internet Explorer windows and restart Internet Explorer.
You should now see "Protected Mode: Off" as shown above.
Allowing "ACTIVE CONTENT" steps.
- Open Internet Explorer and select "Tools > Internet
Options."
- Click on the "Advanced" tab and scroll down
to the "Security" heading.
Place a check in the box on the "Allow active content from CDs (or DVDs) to
run on my Computer" and, if you copy the files to your computer, you will
also need to place a check next the the "Allow active content to run in
files on My Computer" as well.

- Click "OK" to save your settings then exit
Internet Explorer. Now, re-start Internet Explorer, all the 'active
content' warnings should be gone, all the videos should pop up in windows
and play, and the videos should be listed in the VideosNow search window.
